From a young age, Katharine was drawn to art and photography as a means of processing the world around her. In 2016, Katharine Hallenborg earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Professional Photographic Illustration from the Rochester Institute of Technology College of Art and Design. Katharine began her career styling and photographing home decor. Her work experience has since expanded into many areas of e-commerce from fashion to furniture and fine art, including vintage rock concert posters, jewelry, as well as rugs on-location.
When not marveling at her diluted calico cat or listening to music, Katharine can be found shooting mirrorless, having recently made the transition from Canon to Sony. Artistically, Katharine aims to transform abstract advertising concepts into powerful visual creations through the juxtaposition of subjects, the use of unconventional props, and subtle nods to art history.
